39 Highly exclusive embryos and broodmares were auctioned on Tuesday evening under the virtual auction hammer of Zangersheide.Auction. The top prize went to the Nabab de Reve daughter "Iona van de Oude Heihoef". This 12-year-old daughter of Exellentia de Muze and sister of Huxx de Muze and Iphigeneia de Muze will soon be moving to the US for the amount of € 45,000. Her "aunt" Sitelle de la Pomme, a sister of Exellentia and thus daughter of Eric Lamaze's Narcotique de Muze II, was sold to France for € 42,000!
Both sellers and buyers of Zangersheide.Auction come from all over the world. Until recently, the Zangersheide mare Quasine Z competed at 1m50 level under Hanna Carlsson and Martin Dinesen Neergaard and is now moving to Belgium for € 32,000. Other lots find their new stables from South Africa to Russia!
Not only the brood mares were sold expensive, the embryos also reached top prices. For example, € 33,000 was spent by a Swiss investor for the embryo of Max Kühner's top combination of Chardonnay 79 and Electric Touch, and the embryo of Chacco-Blue out of Hans-Dieter Dreher's Geena was sold to Mexico for € 29,000. It was a very successful evening in which both professional riders and passionate breeders found their liking!
Zangersheide.Auction sincerely thanks all of its buyers for their confidence in the auction and wishes them all the best with their new purchases. From now on we are heading in a straight line towards our end-of-year auction in which we will start on December 12th with the sale of the best 2- and 3-year-old horses on the market!
